I believe many people are familiar with the USB type-C interface, which has been widely used in many electronic products such as Android phones, Apple iPads, PCs and Macs, and monitors.
The latest USB 4.0 also emulates Thunderbolt 3, with no missing features for data transmission, video output, or fast charging, with fast charging up to 100 watts (PD, 20V/5A).
Although 100 watts is indeed sufficient for many products, considering that there are still a considerable number of higher power consumption requirements such as gaming books and displays, it is not realistic to rely solely on USB C power supply.
But this situation is about to change soon. In the v2.1 version of the USB type-c cable and interface standard updated by the USB-IF organization on May 25th, its power supply capacity can reach up to 240 watts and is named Extended Power Range.
240 watts is enough to carry Dell's 32 inch 4K display, alien game books, printers, and many other products.
However, from the perspective of specifications, it seems that both chargers and cables need to be redesigned, including support for 48V/5A, etc.
