The USB-C plug, USB-C or USB Type-C connector is the latest USB interface launched with the new USB 3.1 standard. Unlike the previously mentioned USB A and B connectors, the USB C connector can be used on host controller ports and devices using upstream sockets. In the past few years, there have been many laptops and phones with C-type USB interfaces on the market.

USB Mini B

USB 2.0 Mini B plug (UH2-MB)　　

The USB Mini B male is similar to the USB B-type interface, and the USB Mini B socket is also used for USB peripheral devices, but in a smaller size. The USB mini B plug has a default of 5 pins, including an additional ID pin, supporting mobile devices and other peripheral devices to act as USB hosts.

Initially, this type of plug was designed for early smartphone models, but as smartphones became more compact and sleeker in appearance, the Mini USB plug has been replaced by micro USB. Nowadays, Mini-B is designed for some digital cameras, while other Mini-plugs series have become a traditional connector as they are no longer certified for new products.

USB Micro B

USB 2.0 Micro B plug (UH2-MCB)

The micro USB B interface is essentially a reduced form of mini USB, allowing mobile devices to become slimmer while still being able to connect to computers and other hubs.

The USB Micro B male connector can accommodate 5 pins to support USB OTG, allowing smartphones and other similar mobile devices to read external drives, digital cameras, or other peripheral devices like computers. Note that to enable the OTG function, special wiring connections need to be implemented in the cable components.

On October 22, 2009, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) announced the inclusion of the Micro USB interface in the widely adopted Universal Charging Solution (UCS) in the industry.

The A-type connectors used in both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 applications inherit the same design, and USB 3.0 A also provides a "downstream" connection for only host controllers and hubs.

The USB-A female head, however, the USB 3.0 A model does not have other pins that can handle the USB 2.0 A type. The USB 3.0 connector is designed to support "ultra fast" data transfer with a bandwidth of 5Gbps, while the lower data transfer rate is backward compatible with the USB 2.0 port. The USB 3.0 interface is usually blue or marked with the "SS" symbol to help distinguish it from previous generations of products.
