Google has recently issued an invitation letter and will release new products including the next-generation Nexus phone at 11pm Beijing time on October 4th. However, in addition to the already confirmed "biological son" phones, what other products are expected to be unveiled at this press conference?

1、 Pixel and Pixel XL

Since 2010, Google's mobile devices have always been named after Google Nexus, but the new phones expected to be launched on October 4th will adopt the new name "Pixel" and be outsourced to HTC. Similar to the iPhone product line, Pixel will also have a larger screen model, Pixel XL, and maintain flagship specifications.

The current Pixel hardware specifications include the use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, 4GB RAM, as well as FHD (Pixel) and QHD screens (Pixel XL), while the camera uses a 12 million pixel main lens and an 8 million pixel front lens. Fingerprint recognition is naturally a necessary feature for Pixel, but it is said to be placed on the back like the Nexus 6P, and the body will also be designed with an integrated aluminum alloy.

In terms of software, Pixel is said to be launched with Android 7.1. Although there are not many details exposed, Android 7.1 should bring some exclusive features to Pixel, such as exclusive launcher and circular icon design. It is worth mentioning that Android 7.1 may also be equipped with shortcuts similar to iPhone 3D Touch, but it is uncertain whether Pixel's own screen will have pressure sensing.

2、 Pixel tablets and laptops

Recently, there have been reports in the market that Google plans to integrate Android and Chrome OS to some extent and rename it as "Andromeda". The results of this plan are expected to appear as two new devices on October 4th. One of them is the "Nexus" tablet manufactured by Huawei, or its name has been changed to Pixel. This product doesn't have many details flowing out, but it is expected to be a 7-inch tablet with 4GB RAM.

As for the other device, it is much more interesting. It may be a newly designed laptop "Pixel 3" with an extremely lightweight design and a 12.3-inch screen. In addition, in terms of specifications and details, there are many rumors about this new laptop, which has an Intel M3 or i5 processor and comes in two versions: "32GB ROM/8GB RAM" and "128GB ROM/16GB RAM". According to the naming convention, Pixel 3 should use the Intel 7th generation Core processor Kaby Lake.

In terms of other specifications, the Pixel 3 will also have two USB type-cs, 3.5mm headphone holes, a backlit keyboard, and a glass pressure sensing touchpad. The screen also supports a stylus and has a 10 hour battery life. Overall, it is a product similar to the iPad Pro or, barely speaking, a Surface positioning. Interestingly, Pixel 3 is said to continue Chromebook's low-priced strategy, but the key to competition for this product should still be how "Andromeda" will be designed.

3、 Google Home

This device was previewed on Google I/O in May of this year, basically the Google version of Amazon Echo. Its purpose is to use a device with greatly enhanced radio reception, combined with audio, to allow users to handle daily chores at home through a new voice intelligent assistant based on Google Now. To some extent, it can also be said to be a "Siri equipped audio" or an evolutionary version of Chromecast.

Google expects this device to engage in another type of interaction in family life, allowing users to operate purely through voice. However, the competitor Amazon Echo is reliable in technology. Amazon's almost all inclusive services are the real Hard power. Therefore, Google Home may have to show more technology and use details to impress consumers,

Interestingly, foreign media have also pointed out that Google may handle Google Home's hardware in a similar manner to Android devices, licensing the operating system and pairing it with the cloud, but the hardware will be jointly built by a group of audio manufacturers, including Sonos. 4、 Chromecast Ultra and Google Wi Fi

In addition to Google Home, Google reportedly may also release two new accessories, Chromecast Ultra and Google Wi Fi. The former will be a more high-end version of Chromecast 2, supporting 4K and HDR movies.

Google Wi Fi is a router launched by Google itself, similar to Eero and Xiaomi routers. It has some simple functions that can be set and operated through the type-c interface on mobile phones, and can also be connected to each other in series, filling the entire indoor space with signals.
