To understand the principle of Tpe-C, the first step is to define its PN. Of course, if the receiving end only requires a DP signal and does not require a USB3.1 signal, then DP can use all four pairs of TX/RX differential lines for output, and then achieve a DP output of 4lanes, providing a total output bandwidth of up to 32.4Gbps (each lane can output 8 IGbps), easily achieving 5Kx3K60 auxiliary video frequency, or even higher up to 8K × 4K60 frames of video (4:2:0 data), which is the DPonly form. In order to be compatible with USB2.0, Type-C also retains USBD+/D-signals for use by USB2.0 devices, so simply switch to the Type-C interface. USB2.0 and even USB1.0 devices can also support front and back insertion. It is worth mentioning that using USBD+/D - in combination with the DPonly form above can achieve the DP+USB2.0 form. DP occupies 4 pairs of TX/RX differential cables, while USB only uses D+/D -. Normally, the USB2.0 differential signal will only connect to one side between them, as USBType CPlug does not have B6 or B7. USB3.1 only uses 2 pairs of TX/RX differential lines as data lines, connecting TX1/RX1 when inserting forward and TX2/RX2 when inserting backward. It can be seen that in any case, there will be 2 pairs of differential lines that have not been used.
